The Law Offices of Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P. is a small, boutique law firm based in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. DCLLP limits its practice to only family law issues. It was formed in 1996 by Delaina Dancey and Rich Cassady. Prior to forming Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P., the firm was known as Dancey, Cassady, & Louden from 1995 to 1996, and prior to that as United Fathers of America Legal Department from 1994 to 1995, which was not only Delaina's and Rich's first jobs as licensed attorneys, but also when and how they first met each other.

Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P. originally shared office space with United Fathers of America (a group of paralegals helping parents in need of legal assistance, and was primary composed of David MacDonald, founder and director; Todd Hamilton, paralegal; and Russ Kelly, intake counselor) in the historic Smith Tower in Seattle's Pioneer Square, then in 1998, Delaina and Rich moved into their own office space in the Prefontaine Building a block away, but still across the street from the King County Courthouse. In 2004, Delaina and Rich moved the firm into its current location in the historic Colman Building just a few blocks away from the Courthouse.

2007 brought major changes to Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P.. Sadly Delaina had to move away from Seattle in December; first to Reykjavik for about nine months, then onto Atlanta, where she currently resides. Delaina is now practicing bankruptcy law.

Dancey & Cassady, L.L.P. is currently comprised of three people - Rich, who manages it, Heritage Filer, our associate attorney, and Kitty Mercado-Parenteau, who is the assistant to the attorneys.
